KL6904 | Bus Terminal, communication interface + 4-port digital output, 24 V DC, 0.5 A, TwinSAFE Logic:

TwinSAFE facilitates the establishment of networks incorporating up to 1,024 TwinSAFE devices. The KL6904 TwinSAFE logic Bus Terminal, within this framework, can create 15 connections (referred to as TwinSAFE connections). Multiple logic terminals can be cascaded within a network, offering a scalable solution.

This Bus Terminal is equipped with certified safety function blocks, customizable according to the specific application requirements. Functions like emergency stop and safety door monitoring can be easily chosen and interconnected. All function blocks can be freely linked, and operators such as AND, OR, etc., further enhance the configurability. Configuration of necessary functions is achieved through the TwinCAT System Manager, and the settings are loaded into the KL6904 logic terminal via the fieldbus.

The TwinSAFE logic terminal boasts four safe local outputs, allowing the realization of safety applications with just two components: the KL1904 and KL6904. Key features include the implementation of safety applications based on Boolean values, support for up to 15 safe connections, accommodation for up to 48 function blocks, and the capability to handle up to 8 TwinSAFE groups.
